3 things to know this morning – January 10, 2024

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - Here's what you should know to start your Wednesday.

1. Holt Arena in Pocatello is being renamed to be the ICCU Dome. Idaho Central Credit Union has committed $6 million, which includes the naming for the next 12 years. The name change will happen at the beginning of the football season.

2. State Representative Julianne Young of Blackfoot introduced a bill in the House State Affairs Committee to change the terminology for words like "fetus" and "still born" in the Idaho codes.  The bill would change all mentions of the word "fetus" to "preborn child" and the term "stillborn fetus" to "stillborn child."  The House State Affairs Committee voted unanimously to introduce the bill.

3. We have a ton of school closures in our area this morning. You can check out the list here. We will update it as we get more.
