Fire at Market Lake Wildlife Management Area near Roberts is fully contained

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Idaho (KIFI)-The fire at the Market Lake Wildlife Management Area near Roberts is now fully contained.
According to the Roberts Fire Department Chief, Jerry Vanleuven, over 100 acres of land was burned in the field.
The fire was caused after a controlled fire got out of hand, due to windy conditions.
No one was reported injured in the fire.
Crews will continue to monitor the field this evening, while conducting spot checks around the perimeter.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Idaho (KIFI)-Two different active fires started in Roberts on Saturday.
One of those fires is a brush fire in a field near N 2850 E near the Market Lake Wildlife Management Area. This fire started as a controlled burn by a farmer, but eventually got out of control due to windy conditions.
Another fire was a structure fire near N 2884 E in Roberts, the fire started in the garage, and the cost of destruction is unknown at this time.
The Bureau of Land Management is leading the controlling efforts ath the Market Lake WMA at this time.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Idaho (KIFI)-More than one active fire is burning in Jefferson County, according to the Central Fire Department.
According to Fire Chief Carl Anderson, there are two different fires burning, and one of them includes a structure fire near N 2884 E in Roberts.
The other is reported to be in a field in BLM territory near Ririe, at N 2850 E in the Market Lake Wildlife Management Area.
