Multiple crashes involving three vehicles investigated on U.S. 20

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - Idaho State Police is investigating multiple crashes that happened Thursday, September 10, on eastbound U.S. 20 near milepost 313 in Idaho Falls.

According to ISP, a 25-year-old man from Rigby was driving a 2017 Audi A4 when the vehicle left the roadway, went through a fence and came to rest near railroad tracks.

While emergency crews were at the scene, a 34-year-old woman from Rexburg was driving by and slowed down for the emergency response. ISP says her car was then rear-ended by a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by a 68-year-old woman from Idaho Falls.

The woman from Rexburg was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital.

ISP says all drivers involved were wearing seatbelts.

The crashes remain under investigation.
