Fire breaks out in Idaho Falls kitchen, leaving $20,000 in damage

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) — The Idaho Falls Fire Department responded to a kitchen fire at a home on Daffodil Place Saturday morning, leading to $20,000 in damage.

Crews arrived just before 8 a.m. and found smoke coming from the front of the home.

One person managed to escape the home safely and told firefighters that someone else might still be inside. Firefighters searched the home, found no other occupants, and quickly knocked down the fire in the kitchen.
