SODA SPRINGS, Idaho (KIFI/KIDK) - Soda Springs defeated Ririe 49-33 Thursday in a battle of ranked teams. The Cardinals showed why they were number one in the first 2A media poll of the season. The Bulldogs were ranked fifth.

Ririe held a lead in the first half, but the Cardinals ended the first half on a 19-2 run to take control of the game.

Soda Springs (6-2) hosts Sugar-Salem Friday. The Diggers ended the Cardinals 54 game winning streak in November. Ririe (3-2) plays its Nuclear Conference opener Tuesday at North Fremont.
