Bengals lose close battle with Cal Baptist

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI/KIDK) - Cal Baptist pulled away late to beat Idaho State 74-68 at Reed Gym Monday. The Bengals had a great defensive effort with a season high 11 blocks and ten steals.

It was a night of career highs for a handful of Bengals. Callie Bourn tied her personal mark with 20 points to lead Idaho State. She also grabbed a career high 12 rebounds.

Both Diaba Konate and Tomekia Whitman set or matched career highs in scoring. Konate put up 16 points and Whitman added 12. Ellie Smith had a career high four blocks.

Idaho State (4-4) will travel to Utah State on Thursday to finish off the non-conference portion of the schedule.
