South Alabama edges SE Louisiana in The Basketball Classic

MOBILE, Ala. — Javon Franklin made a layup with 44 seconds left to give South Alabama the lead en route to a 70-68 win over Southeastern Louisiana in the first round of The Basketball Classic on Wednesday night. Tyrell Jones posted 17 points to lead the Jaguars. Joe Kasperzyk led the Lions with 17 points.
