TOKYO (AP) — The new Tokyo stadium used at last year’s Olympics is being looked at as a venue for the track and field world championships. An inspection team from World Athletics is in the Japanese capital this week. World Athletics president Sebastian Coe has said that he hoped to bring the championships to the city. The next world championships will be held in July in Oregon. The Hungarian capital of Budapest is set to host in 2023. The venues for 2025 and 2027 are undecided with Tokyo, the Kenyan capital of Nairobi, Singapore and a venue in Poland having expressed interest.
