Five late inning unanswered runs propel the Chukars to a 9-5 victory to start nine-game trip

KALISPELL, Montana (KIFI) - In a close game Friday night to start a long road trip, the Chukars took control at the right time, scoring five unanswered runs in the later innings for the lead and a 9-5 series-opening win.

Idaho Falls went into the 7th inning trailing 5-4, then rattled off five unanswered runs for the lead, with Jose Reyes driving in three. That includes the go-ahead two-run double in the 7th.

Steve Barmakian stood out for the Chuks, going 2-for-5 with three RBI and his third home run of the season, which led off the game.

Next up, the Chukars battle the Range Riders once again Saturday night at 7:05 p.m.
