Big 7th inning propels the Chukars to a 7-3 victory against the Mustangs

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - In a tight matchup Wednesday night at Melaleuca Field, the Idaho Falls Chukars put up a crooked number in the 7th inning to solidify a 7-3 win.

A Dusty Stroup two-run double highlighted the four-run 7th inning. Hunter Hisky's RBI single and a wild pitch also contributed to the big frame, which gave the Chuks a 7-2 lead at the time.

The huge inning came after a clutch appearance on the mound by Keagan McGinnis. He entered game out of the bullpen with his team up 3-2 and the bases loaded with nobody out in the top of the 7th.

Then, McGinnis struck out the side to preserve the lead in a key moment for the Chukars in the 7-3 victory.

Next up, the Chukars and Mustangs battle again Thursday night in game three of the six-game set at 7:05 p.m.
