The Nation’s Weather for Tuesday, December 3, 2019

A major coastal storm will continue to drop snow across New

England tomorrow. Cold air wrapping around the back side of

the storm system will allow for rain to switch to snow along

the coast for a time. Others across the Northeast will have

cold, but dry conditions as they shovel the freshly fallen

snow in the wake of the storm. Dry conditions are expected

to span from the Appalachians westward to the Intermountain

West as an expansive area of high pressure will promote

cool, but settled conditions. Moisture streaming out of the

Pacific Ocean towards the West Coast will continue to drop a

bit of rain to the California coast. Moisture will not

affect the entire West Coast however, with much of the

Pacific Northwest remaining dry.
