Light snow is likely to fall in northern upstate New York

tomorrow. Meanwhile, an area of rain will blossom in central

and eastern Texas, northern and central Louisiana, northern

and central Mississippi, much of Alabama and northern

Georgia. Much-needed rain is expected in southern portions

of Arizona and New Mexico, especially early in the day.

Elsewhere, a few rain showers will occur in the Pacific

Northwest with snow showers in the higher elevations of

Washington and Idaho. Otherwise, the rest of the nation

should be free of precipitation. Temperatures are forecast

to be well above normal in the central Plains, particularly

in Nebraska and Kansas. In Southern California, the Santa

Ana winds of recent days will finally abate. However, the

dry weather will continue.
