Sunny Morning, chances for severe storms in the afternoon for Tuesday

TODAY: We will see dry, mostly sunny skies for the morning hours, before we will look for a chance for thunderstorms in the late afternoon and early evening hours.  Most of these severe storms will look to hit the southern highlands, SE Idaho, the Magic Valley, and the lower Snake River Plain.  Hail is possible with these storms.  Winds will be very breezy with these storms moving through with wind gusts up to 40 mph.  Besides the storms, winds will be fairly light overall between 5-10 mph.  High temperatures will get to the upper 70's to mid 80's.

TOMORROW: More widespread, scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will be with us for Wednesday afternoon.  Hail is possible with severe wind gusts up to 50 mph.  Winds overall through the region will look to be light between 5-10 mph.  High temperatures will decrease a little bit into the mid 70's to low 80's.

LONG TERM: Severe scattered thunderstorms continue to roll into the region for Thursday.  Storm coverage then decreases a little bit into Friday with only isolated chances for storms in the afternoon for Friday and Saturday afternoon.  More scattered thunderstorms then will be with the whole region for Sunday and into early next week.  Winds will be light overall except under the storms where wind gusts can reach 50 mph.  High temperatures drop a little more into the mid to upper 70's for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.  High's could drop off even more into the 60's for Sunday and early next week.
