Fresh off a hearty Putin handshake, Orban heads into an EU summit on Ukraine

BRUSSELS (AP) — Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban will be the center of attention at an EU summit on Thursday following his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin last week. Diplomats say EU leaders will directly confront him with accusations he broke EU unity in their support of Ukraine. With President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressing the summit through a video hookup, it will only increase the focus on Orban. The Hungarian leader, however, has a tendency to thrive in situations where he seems to face overwhelming opposition in the bloc.
