Gunshots fired when EMTs arrive at Butte County home
UPDATE 5:00 p.m.: BUTTE COUNTY, Idaho (KIFI) - Butte County Sheriff's office reports a person is now in custody for firing shots. They are still investigating.
UPDATE 4:00 PM: Gunshots were fired when an EMT crew arrived at a home in Butte County on Thursday morning. No one was injured.
The Butte County Sheriff's office said EMTs with the Lost River Ambulance were called to the home in the area of 2900 North and 3375 West at about 8:45 a.m. When they were approaching the home, shots were fired they said.
The suspect has not been identified. The sheriff's office believes no other people are in the house besides the suspect.
Nearby residents were either evacuated from their home or instructed to shelter in place.
This is an ongoing situation and the public is requested to avoid the area.
Tactical teams from Bingham and Bannock Counties were called to help with the situation.

Butte County Sheriff reported on Facebook, "There's an active and ongoing situation in the area of 3375 W. Please avoid the area of 2800 N and 2900 N.
They said no further information will be released at this time.
People have told Local News 8 they have seen tactical vehicles and teams rushing through Arco heading toward the area.
