Sunny and hot weather sets in

We've got a seasonal day ahead with highs normally at 79, and we will keep it at 80 today for IF and 84 in Pocatello. Low 70's in the mountains, as Jackson starts at freezing this morning. Winds gusts to @15-20 from SW later this afternoon, and a slight chance of showers/storms with another wave across the region and heat spurring on a storm. More heat as we go to 85 tomorrow and settle into the 90's by Friday and for the countdown to July. Lows in the 50s. We can expect this trend to continue to the 4th with sunny conditions. 80s/90s. This heat is cause for caution. Get plenty of hydration, cool air, shade, look after the young and elderly, take breaks and protect your pets from the heat. Be cautious with fireworks with the dry tinder and brushy areas, chains on trailers, smoking outdoors.
