More heat and fire warnings for Wednesday

Heat is back. Highs in the 90s today and with low humidity and intense heat, fire weather danger is back with red flags for lower central mountain areas and southeastern highlands in the Bear River Range. Fire Restrictions have been issued for eastern Idaho this morning. Very dry conditions and gusty winds have heightened awareness for outdoor burning.

Winds 10-20+ with gusts mainly from the west/southwest today into the afternoon. Chances of storms move in for Thursday, the Salmon area will be most affected, a 20% chance for isolated storms for Idaho Falls and Pocatello ---and then cooler air will demand our attention by Friday after a cold front.

Way below average temps, in the upper 70s for Friday. Then we warm back up to 80 for Saturday's Great Snake River Greenbelt Duck Race in Idaho Falls at 4pm. Great weekend weather with slightly below average temps, low/mid 80s. The heat returns for next week, back to consistently 90-95 degrees by Tuesday or so.
