KIFI

Tracking wind, thunderstorms and eventually snow for today.  Wind advisory for the banana belt from 8am into tonight with gusts of 50 mph possible, consistently winds will be around 30mph.  Winter weather advisories for highland counties to the east and into western Wyoming today and into Friday. We'll take a dive in temperatures today and only peak around 40 degrees, 43 in IF and 44 in Chubbuck and Pocatello.  42 in Jackson.

Rain changes to snow this morning and lasts into the day. Accumulations will be several inches in the mountains and a skiff for the valley. Rain  will cause snow to melt as well. Expect slick conditions and some visibility issues may arise with blowing precip.  Colder and freezing temps tonight will raise concerns for travel with slick conditions as we head to 29 degrees and remain cold into Saturday morning overnight. Tomorrow will show a rise in temps, back to the 50s and 60s by the weekend with clear skies.
