Colder this weekend with a chance of rain and snow

KIFI

We’re staying breezy for Friday night heading into Saturday, with a low-pressure system advancing out of the north. We’re seeing colder air and some moisture this Saturday and Sunday. Freezing overnight lows will be an issue for gardeners for Sunday night and Monday night.

Overnight lows will drop to around 40° for the Snake River Plain. Southwest winds will be around 15-25 mph, with lighter speeds closer to sunrise.

For this Saturday, look for some cloudy skies in the morning with some clearing in the afternoon. High temperatures in the Snake River Plain will reach the lower to mid 60’s. Wind will gust around 30-40 mph. There is a slight chance of snow and rain, mainly for the mountains. For Saturday night, the risk of some rain and snow continues with low temperatures in the mid 30’s.

On Sunday, there is a chance of snow mixing with rain in the morning. Some rain showers are possible for the afternoon. High temperatures will reach the upper 40’s to lower 50’s.

Cool and mostly cloudy for Monday, with a high temperature in the lower 50’s. There is a chance of snow before noon, then a slight chance of rain.
