Tracking scattered showers and storms ahead of a big holiday weekend warm up

Frost advisory for the majority of the I-15 corridor in effect through 9am and freeze warning further west for a small portion of the Arco Desert where temps overall range from 25-35 degrees through sunrise. Protect sensitive vegetation, pipes, pets, check on elderly and bundle up for those going out early. 

Today will be still under sunshine with temps in the upper 60s.  Cold front drops this afternoon and into the evening with scattered showers and possible storms embedded. Winds pick up as well. These areas of storms continue overnight tonight and will cool us slightly by a few degrees for Thursday temperatures.  Lows will rise overnight thanks to increased insulation and clouds, so not as chilly when you wake up .   70% chance of showers and storms into Thursday.  Winds SW 20-30mph.  Then watch the temps pop Friday and into the weekend with 70s and 80s in view. Memorial Day the beautiful weather comes on gangbusters and makes for a winning combo of sun and warmth and highs around 80.

Friday will be sunny and closer to 70, and more seasonal temps to kick off the weekend. N winds 5-15+ . Low 38.
