Warming trend heading into Memorial Day weekend

Low pressure to our northeast will keep thunderstorms in the forecast through Thursday night. As we move into the weekend, high pressure builds back in, delivering warmer temperatures and sunshine.

For Thursday night, we’ll see low temperatures drop to the mid to lower 30’s. The National
Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory for Friday morning.

FROST ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 9 AM MDT FRIDAY:

*WHAT…Temperatures of 32 to 36 will result in frost formation. Isolated rural areas could briefly drop to 30 degrees.

  • WHERE…Arco/Mud Lake Desert and Upper Snake River Plain.
  • WHEN…From 3 AM to 9 AM MDT Friday.

Sunny skies for Friday with a low risk of mountain thunderstorms. High temperatures will reach the upper 60’s. Winds will be light around 5 mph from the southwest. Overnight lows are down to the upper 30’s.

Sunny with an afternoon breeze for Saturday. High temperatures will push to the upper 70’s for the Snake River Plain. Southwest winds will be around 10-15 mph with gusts as high as 20mph.

High temperatures will reach the lower 80’s for Sunday in the Snake River Plain.
