Cooler for Friday with rain and thundershowers returning Saturday

A low-pressure system sits to our southwest, with hot and drier air currently being pushed in our direction. As the low-pressure moves closer towards us, we’ll see a cool down with scattered rain this weekend.

For Thursday night, look for overnight lows dropping into the upper 40’s for the Snake River Plain. Clear skies with winds from the southwest around 10mph.

Mostly sunny for Friday with some clouds moving in for the afternoon. There is a slight chance of afternoon and evening thunderstorms, mainly for the mountains. High temperatures will reach the upper 70’s throughout the Snake River Plain. Winds will be out of the southwest, around 15-25 mph. Scattered showers and thunderstorms for Friday night, mainly after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around the mid 40’s. Southwest wind gusts as high as 25 mph.

Rain is likely for Saturday, with a possible thunderstorm in the afternoon. High temperatures will reach the lower 60’s for the Snake River Plain. Winds will be out of the south-southwest around 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

For Sunday, there is a chance of rain before noon, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will hover around 60°.
