10-ton mobile beer bar to make Idaho Falls stop

Anheuser-Busch

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) — A 10-ton mobile bar built from a real combine harvester is headed to Idaho Falls this summer.

Anheuser-Busch unveiled the "ComBar" this week, a custom-built mobile bar created from an actual combine and designed to celebrate American farmers and the agricultural ingredients used in several of the company's beers.

"The ComBar brings that commitment to life in a way only Anheuser-Busch can — by transforming an iconic symbol of the harvest into a celebration of the people who make our beers possible," Cesar Vargas, the company's chief external affairs officer, said in a statement.

The mobile attraction is scheduled to make a stop in Idaho Falls during the Alive After 5 concert series on July 15. It will also return later this year for one of Anheuser-Busch's grower appreciation events.

The nationwide tour coincides with America's 250th birthday celebrations and includes stops in Missouri, North Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Tennessee and Idaho.

The company says the combine-themed bar is intended to recognize the role American farmers play in producing ingredients used in brands such as Busch Light, Budweiser, Bud Light and Michelob ULTRA.
