Patchy smoke and a chance of thunderstorms Wednesday

We're currently seeing some isolated thunderstorms for Tuesday afternoon and evening. Most of the storms are very dry with little moisture. More storm coverage is expected in the coming days, as monsoonal moisture works in from the south. Wildfire smoke will continue to impact the area on and off for Wednesday as well.

For Tuesday night, we're seeing clouds roll in from the south. Overnight lows will drop to the mid and lower 60's for the Snake River Plain. Winds overnight, will be out of the southwest around 10-15 mph.

On Wednesday, expect patchy wildfire smoke mixed with clouds. There is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms with high temperatures reaching the upper 80's. Winds will be out of the west around 10-15 mph. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

We'll see a chance of rain and thunderstorms on Thursday. Mostly cloudy skies, with a high temperature near 75° and gusty winds from the storms. The chance of precipitation is 70%.

For Friday, rain is likely in the morning and afternoon with a possible thunderstorm. Mostly cloudy skies throughout the region with high temperatures reaching the mid 70's. The chance of precipitation is 70%.

Some lingering showers will take us into Saturday with partly to mostly cloudy skies. There is also a chance of afternoon thunderstorms with high temperatures reaching the upper 70's.
