Tracking another hot day and then winds pick with more moisture and cooler temps this weekend

Today is the last really warm day for a while. 30% chances of showers and storms into the day with winds gusting to 25mph. Temps hit 90 again today before clouds and low pressure moves in to shut down the warmth and allow moisture to flow again from the southwest.

This lack of heat can give us better opportunities for rain in the central mountains and can also be an issue for storms over burn scar areas like Heise and Kelly Canyon. Stay with 8 and the First Alert Weather app all weekend for changes. Temps will drop with more clouds to the 70's for about 4 days for Idaho Falls, once we get through Friday. Chilly mornings and rains with thunderstorm chances drying up by Saturday afternoon.
