Watersprings secures 24-point victory over Sho-Ban

FORT HALL, Idaho (KIFI) – Watersprings defeated Sho-Ban 50-26 in a 1A 8-man football showdown in Fort Hall.

The matchup featured early back-and-forth scoring between the two teams before Watersprings took control. Sho-Ban tied the game early at 6-6 following an initial touchdown by Watersprings, but could not hold off the opposing offense. here's how it went down.

Watersprings took the initial lead after Sho-Ban kicked off to start the game. Tight end Wyatt Iraola caught a 30-yard pass to score the first touchdown of the contest.

Sho-Ban answered on a subsequent drive with a rushing play along the sideline. A chase down the field resulted in an end-zone sprint, tying the score at 6-6.

Watersprings broke the tie with a play from quarterback Sean Perry. Perry executed a play-action bootleg and wove through the Sho-Ban defense to score his team’s second touchdown.

Watersprings maintained momentum by completing another pass down the center of the field to Iraola, extending their lead on the way to the 24-point win. Watersprings will take on St. Joseph from Utah in their next game, Sho-Ban will face off with North Gem.
