Snake River Boys’ and Girls’ soccer teams celebrate senior night

BLACKFOOT, Idaho (KIFI) – Wednesday night marked Senior Night for both the Girls and Boys Snake River Panthers soccer teams as they both played the Preston Indians.

The first game of the day was the boys' game. Preston showed out, scoring 5 goals while shutting out the Panthers. Preston improves to 11-3-1 on the season, while the Panther boys fall to 2-9-1. Preston will close out their regular season tomorrow, October 1st, when they take on Sugar-Salem. Snake River will cap off their regular season on the road against Teton on Friday, October 2nd.

After the conclusion of the boys' game, the girls' teams took the field. Six goals scored between the two teams were still not enough to find a winner, as the match ended in a 3-3 draw. The Lady Panthers now sit at 11-2-2 on the year, while Preston's girls are at 10-3-1. Both Snake River's and Preston's girls' teams will also play the same teams the boys play on the same days to close their own regular seasons.
