City of Victor seeks resident input on future wastewater service

KIFI

VICTOR, Idaho - (KIFI) The City of Victor is asking residents and ratepayers to weigh in on the future of its wastewater service as city officials work toward a long-term agreement with Driggs.

The city has launched a brief online straw poll asking participants to identify their top priorities for wastewater service. The poll takes about three minutes and is open through October 31.

Topics include affordable and predictable rates, protecting clean water, accommodating future growth, financial transparency and Victor’s role in major decisions affecting the wastewater system.

Victor is evaluating several options for its future relationship with Driggs, including revising the existing wastewater service agreement or establishing a shared governance arrangement.

“Before we make decisions that will affect our community for decades, we want to better understand what our residents and ratepayers value most,” Mayor Sue Muncaster said in a press release released by the city. “Their priorities should help inform our conversations with Driggs.”

The city says feedback from the poll will help inform City Council discussions as negotiations continue.

The straw poll is informal and is not a scientific survey or a binding vote.

Residents can participate in the poll here.
