Tracking seasonal temps and mainly dry for the week and warmer into the weekend

We'll begin with temperatures below freezing this morning for our area, patchy fog as well may be mixed in, otherwise cloudy with some scattered wintry showers in the southeast corner and close to Pocatello. Then the sun returns for the afternoon, a high today of 51, calm winds out of the south and the west at about 5 to 10 miles an hour. Some patchy fog might be around tonight after dinner time, otherwise mostly clear, and that means no insulation, so down to 28 degrees for Thursday morning.

Still some fog possible, mostly cloudy and a high around 48.

Probably our best chance of seeing any kind of weather move through here is over the next couple of days, especially for the southeastern Highlands. By Thursday night, patchy fog between and around midnight and 2 a.m., partly cloudy and 29 degrees. We'll keep this going.

It will be cooler to kickstart the weekend, down to 46 for Friday's high, 29 Friday night, Saturday sunny and a high right around 50, and still in the upper 20s for Saturday night. Sunday it'll be sunny and warmer, up to 56.
