Police: Multiple Persons Of Interest In Bank Robbery

Idaho Falls police are looking for the man that robbed the Wells Fargo Bank on Friday morning and said they have multiple persons of interest in the case.

Police said a white man entered the bank, at 305 First St., around 10:46 a.m. Police said he handed a note to the teller demanding money. The note also said he had a bomb.

The man left with an undisclosed amount of cash on foot heading west.

He is described as being about 6 feet tall, medium build and in his early 40s wearing a black jacket, khaki pants, a black ball cap with flames and a neck brace.

The bank was closed after the robbery. Police left the scene shortly before 1 p.m, and the bank reopened at 1:20 p.m.

Wells Fargo is remaining tight-lipped on the robbery.

“I can just say that in a situation of this kind, what we’re mainly focused on and what our primary concern is the safety of our team members and of our customers,” said spokeswoman Amy McDevitt.

Anyone with information about this robbery or the whereabouts of anyone involved is asked to contact the IFPD at 529-1200 or Crimestoppers at 522-1983.
