Fun Run Helps Raise Money For School Library

The kids of Edgemont Elementary in Idaho Falls played an active role in raising money for their school.

Students, faculty and parents headed outside for a fun run.

Kids collected money from sponsors for each lap they ran. That money goes toward new books and technology for the school library.

The race was also a good chance to show kids how important it is to stay active.

“We want the kids to be out getting physically fit as much as they can,” said Cathy Erikson, a parent who organized the run.

The goal is to raise $7,000 for the library. Organizers will know how much money the fun run brought in when the kids will bring in their collection envelopes next week.
