Neighbors Contain Chubbuck House Fire

A house at the corner of Galena Avenue was saved by some quick-thinking neighbors when it caught fire Wednesday afternoon.

Fire Chief Eric King said the blaze started outside of the back of the house. The fire spread into the house and almost made its way into the attic

Neighbors came to the rescue and started to put the fire out with a garden hose. They also got the dogs out of the backyard.

By the time fire crews showed up, the flames were under control.

The homeowner is calling the neighbors heroes.

The cause of the fire is undetermined.

We’ll update this page as more information becomes available.
