Ogden Police: Man Found With Large Cache Of Stolen Goods

Four police agencies are stacking burglary and theft charges against a man whose property yielded a dozen shop vacuums, six weed whackers and 20 laptop batteries, among other things.

Police told the Standard-Examiner of Ogden they have never seen so many stolen goods at one home, including nine vehicles, two motorcycles and one backhoe.

Police say Brian Michael Davidson stole one vehicle just for a bumper – they say he needed the bumper for another stolen vehicle.

Davidson’s public defender, Randy Richards, tells The Associated Press that Davidson maintains he owns all of the goods. The lawyer says Davidson could prove it if he was let out of jail to find receipts, invoices and titles.

Davidson is due to appear May 29 in Ogden’s 2nd District Court on 21 felony charges.
