Fort Hall Woman Killed In Wyoming Crash

A 24-year-old Fort Hall woman was killed in a one-vehicle crash about six miles east of Shoshoni, Wyo.

The accident occurred May 18. The Wyoming Highway Patrol reported the death Thursday.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol said the victim?s was Jovan Willow.

She was a passenger in a car driven by 18-year-old Lehi Aoah of Fort Washakie, Wyo. He was hospitalized at Riverton Memorial Hospital. Two other passengers, 3-year-old Patricia and 5-year-old Diamond Roy, also of Fort Washakie, were flown to Salt Lake City for treatment of injuries.

The WHP said Aoah was westbound on U.S. 20-26 when he apparently fell asleep. The vehicle then drifted across the center line and into the eastbound lane of travel. Investigators said Aoah over-corrected, and the vehicle rolled over and came to rest on its roof. None of the passengers were wearing seat belts or were properly restrained and all were totally ejected during the rollover, the WHP said.

Troopers say the investigation will be turned over to the Fremont County, Wyo., Attorney’s Office, which will make a final determination on whether any charges will be filed.
