Police: Woman tries to sell hotel TVs online

Police said an Idaho Falls woman stole TVs from a hotel and tried to sell them on Craigslist.

The manager of Best Western Driftwood Inn contacted Idaho Falls police around 3:45 p.m. Sunday for a burglary complaint.

The manager said that between 3 and 9 p.m. on Saturday, someone entered two rooms and took the flat-screen televisions in both rooms. The property was later identified on the online classifieds site Craigslist.

Officers identified Khorshid Mari Benjamin, 28, as the seller.

One TV was recovered and determined to belong to the hotel. During the investigation, Benjamin was also found to be in possession of a stolen vehicle taken fromShelley days before, according to a news release.

The vehicle was returned to the owner.

Benjamin was arrested on charges of possession of stolen property and possession of a stolen vehicle. She was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
