2 arrested on drug-dealing charges in traffic stop

A routine traffic stop resulted in police finding $130,000 worth of various drugs near American Falls.

On Tuesday at 9 a.m., an Idaho State Police trooper stopped the 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe on Interstate 86.

The trooper discovered 11.1 pounds of marijuana and 2.1 pounds of hashish. The Idaho State Police also seized more than $1,500 in cash. The driver, Manuel Burnett, 29 of Manhattan, Kan., and the passenger Mathew Volkomener, 31, of Great Falls, Mont., were both arrested and transported to the Power County Jail.

Burnett and Volkemener were both charged with two counts of felony drug trafficking.
