Missing band teacher found

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office said a missing Rigby High School band teacher was found in Seattle.

Deputies said Tuesday that William “Bill” Algeo Weed III, who was reported missing over the weekend, was fine and was found Monday afternoon.

He was last seen at Rigby High School on Friday night after a concert at Idaho State University. He was reported missing Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

The sheriff’s office said it has reports that Weed may have been seen at a gas station in Rigby on Friday and at the Ammon Walmart on Saturday around 9 p.m. Law enforcement had believed Weed might have gone to Salt Lake City to visit the zoo or fly to West Virginia, where he grew up.

Weed’s biography on the Rigby High School website says he has taught music at the school for more than a decade.
