Coverdell honored with field renaming

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - After coaching softball for 25 years, Highland's Tisha Coverdell is retiring from her head coaching job with the Rams.

The Pocatello-Chubbuck community honored Coverdell by renaming the field at Capell Park after her.

"Most of my career has been out there and so it feels pretty awesome to be able to have that legacy," Coverdell said. "It was a beautiful day, very memorable, and something I won't forget."

"She's brought girls softball here in Pocatello to a higher level for sure and she's got a lot of girls involved, and parents involved in a successful program," Highland Athletic Director, Travis Bell said. "She's definitely put in 25 years, but she's probably put in 50 years of work."
