Prominent tribal member dies
A prominent member of the Shoshone-Bannock tribes died Sunday.
According to a news release from the tribes, Delbert Farmer was a “tribal elder, former chairman and councilman and dear friend to many.”
Services for Farmer will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Hill Hawker Sandberg Funeral home in Blackfoot. His body will be at the Lenora LaVatta home on West Truchot road in Gibson on Wednesday. He will be laid to rest in the Gibson cemetery on Thursday around 2 p.m.
