Monday is the biggest shipping day of the year
Monday is the kickoff of the busiest shipping season of the year.
An estimated 1 million packages and cards are expected to go through post offices throughout Idaho Falls.
To save time and money this season, the United States Postal Service is encouraging people to ship from home.
Jim Alvord, station manager at the Idaho Falls Eagle Rock station, said that workers there are “Estimating to see 500 people today (Monday) alone, with the other office doing at least twice that many.”
And as for those letters to Santa, as long has they have a return address, the kids can expect a reply.
