ISP investigating crash near Pocatello

Idaho State Police are investigation the cause of a multiple vehicle crash at milepost 72 near Pocatello.

According to ISP Jack Dalton, 68, of Idaho Falls was driving north on 1-15 in a Toyota Yaris when he attempted to make a legal lane change. Dalton was was stuck in the rear by the black Volkswagen driven by Tre Martin, 23, of Pocatello. ISP says he was traveling at speeds over the speed limit. Both cars went into the median. The Volkswagen stopped there. The Toyota came to a rest on the right shoulder of the southbound lanes.

Dalton was wearing a seatbelt and was injured. He was taken to Portneuf Medical Center via ground ambulance. The extent of his injuries has not been released.

Martin only sustained minor cuts and bruises.

The crash is still under investigation.
