Demolition of Jackson forest supervisor’s office set Tuesday

Construction crews plan to demolish the old Supervisor’s Office on the Bridger Teton National Forest property in Jackson Tuesday. The building is on the corner of Cache and Mercill and has been there since the early 1960’s.

Forest spokesperson Mary Cernicek said the demolition is not expected to disrupt any neighborhood properties.

The exact time of the demolition is subject to weather, relocation of remaining communications and other utilities, but should be complete within one day.

A new administrative building is scheduled to be completed by May 2017.
