Pocatello Veterans Home receives DVD player donations

Movie nights at the Pocatello Veterans Home won’t be quite the same, thanks to a donation of Blu-Ray DVD players from the Blackfoot Elks Lodge.

The Elks Lodge donated 66 Blu-Ray players to the home. That’s enough for each resident to have one in their own room. This allows each person to watch what they want, when they want.

The Pocatello Veterans Home administrator, Josiah Dahlstrom, said this is great for resident’s privacy.

Dahlstrom said the veterans love the new players and the home is grateful for the donation.

“To have that added benefit of being able to offer something for these veterans that we wouldn’t have been able to do ourselves is a big deal,” said Dahlstrom.

The Elks Lodge said they believe our veterans are America’s heroes, so they were thrilled to find a way to give back to them.
