Local law firm to create free wills for veterans on Veterans Day

Putting a will together can be stressful and expensive, but one local law firm is putting free wills together for veterans on Veterans Day.

Lawyers at Hopkins Roden in downtown Idaho Falls will provide free simple will packages. That will consist of a will, a living will, a healthcare power of attorney and a general durable power of attorney.

The service will be available all day on Veterans Day from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m, and it’ll take about 30 minutes to an hour to complete.

Creating a will can cost from $500 to thousands of dollars, but Hopkins Roden lawyers are excited to give back.
“Last year, we did about between 40 and 50 will packages. Each time we met with a veteran, it was just a really awesome experience to talk about their experience and see how we’re helping someone who needs the help,” said attorney Sean Coletti.

“Free Wills for Veterans” will be on Veterans Day, Nov. 11. It’s first-come-first-serve, and appointments are limited. To take advantage of this great opportunity, call the firm’s office at 208-523-4445.
