Man recovering from accidental shooting
Bonneville County deputies were called to the 1800 block of Eagle Drive to investigate a shooting incident at approximately 10:40 p.m. Wednesday.
Deputies said a 65-year-old man was found in the basement with a gunshot wound to his leg.
The man told officers he was in the process of putting a firearm away when it accidentally discharged. The bullet struck him in the lower leg.
The man was taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Investigators ruled the incident an accident.
