Man charged with murder after fatal Boise shooting
A 21-year-old man police say shot and killed another man in a traffic encounter in Boise has been charged with second-degree murder.
A judge on Monday set Jacob D. Wall’s bail at $1 million.
Prosecutors say that Wall on Sunday evening got into a traffic-related altercation with 38-year-old Luis Rey Lara of Boise and exchanged words at a stoplight.
Prosecutors say that Lara started punching at Wall through an open window, and that Wall shot Lara in the shoulder with a Glock .45-caliber handgun.
Prosecutors say Wall then got out of his vehicle to pursue Lara, tackled him, and shot him three times.
The Ada County coroner’s office says Lara died of multiple gunshot wounds.
