New Pocatello Sears location opens its doors

After a technical issue with its sales system, the new Sears Hometown officially opened for business on Garrett Way in Pocatello.

The new store will be able to offer everything bigger Sears locations offer, from product lines to offering the Sears card. It will be locally owned and operated by Tim England and his father, Doug England.

The past year, the Pocatello/Chubbuck area has seen a number of businesses open on or around Yellowstone Avenue. By opening this location, Tim England is hoping to start a trend of more businesses opening their doors on the west side of town.

“Here on Garrett Way, there’s lots of open real estate. If we use this section, we can have a booming metropolis like Idaho Falls, or any other big town,” said Tim England.

The store is open Monday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. The store will be open on Thanksgiving from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Black Friday all day.

You can call the store at 208-904-3303.
