Subway donates to the Community Food Basket

Subway restaurants across Idaho are getting into the holiday season by donating money to the Community Food Basket Idaho Falls.

The Subway Cares Fundraiser will present a $200 check to the Community Food Basket.

The program started Nov.14., Subway restaurants in Boise, Idaho Falls, Pocatello and Twin Falls participated in the Idaho Subway Cares Program to raise funds for local organizations. Customers throughout the state contributed by rounding their total to the nearest dollar at checkout

According to The Idaho Food Bank one in six Idahoans face food insecurity, or not knowing where their next meal will come from. The Community Food Basket feeds more than 11,000 families and 45,000 people in the Idaho Falls area each year.
