More snow and wind for Wednesday, very cold this weekend

With a deep western area of low pressure, we'll keep cold temps, scattered snow and gusty winds in the forecast for Wednesday.

OVERNIGHT: A few snow showers and flurries with winds into the 15-25MPH range. Lows around 5° to 10°, with wind chills in the sub-zero range.

WEDNESDAY: Snow showers with gusty winds and high temperatures into the lower 20's.

THURSDAY: Scattered snow showers for the afternoon and evening, highs into the lower 20's. Gusty winds at 15-35 MPH.

FRIDAY: A slight chance of snow with highs into the lower 20's.

AVALANCHE WARNING: THE AVALANCHE DANGER IS HIGH WITH DANGEROUS AVALANCHE CONDITIONS.

  • WHERE…BEAR RIVER RANGE OF MOUNTAINS IN FRANKLIN AND BEAR LAKE COUNTIES.
  • IMPACTS…RECENT HEAVY SNOW COMBINED WITH STRONG WIND WILL CREATE WIDESPREAD AREAS OF UNSTABLE SNOW. BOTH HUMAN-TRIGGERED AND NATURAL AVALANCHES ARE LIKELY. STAY OFF AND OUT FROM UNDER SLOPES STEEPER THAN 30 DEGREES.
