Ammon Little League needs coaches

AMMON, Idaho (KIFI) - Ammon Little League is organizing teams and needs coaches. There can only be as many teams as there are coaches.

Equipment is provided, and you don't need to be an expert, just willing to help. The only way to guarantee friends and neighborhood kids are on the same team is for parents to coach.

All coaches can select up to 12 players to be on their team.

All coaches must complete a background check through Little League International. If you would like to coach, please email your name, phone number, division you will coach, and your 3 MLB team name choices to secretary@ammonlittleleague.com.

Exception: Majors and Minors baseball players not returning to a team must try out.

Tee-Ball

• (Ages 4-6) Games Tuesdays and Thursdays during the day in June

Softball

• Coach Pitch (ages 5-8) Games M & W during the day in June
• Minors Modified fastpitch (ages 8-11) Games M & W during the day in June
• Majors Modified fastpitch (ages 10-12) Games M & W, May and June in the evenings
• Junior (ages 12-14) Games Tues & Thurs, May and June in the evenings
• *Modified is flexibility with pitching (distance and coach help)

Baseball

• Coach pitch (ages 6-7) Games Tues & Thurs during the day in June
• Machine Pitch (ages 7-9) Games Tues & Thurs during the day in June
• Majors and Minors (ages 8-12)
• Majors games M & W, evenings, May and June
• Minors games Tues & Th., evenings, May and June
